Hello you guys at GY6 Street Legal. I just need to write back to you about your aluminum gaskets I purchase just a few weeks ago for my Ruckus Scooter. I recently installed a 180cc big bore kit on my GY6 engine. And I have to say that these aluminum gasket you sell are slammin. The best thing about them is that you can really tighten the bolts without damaging the the gaskets. Your advertismnet is true. They are the best crankcase gaskets out there on the market. And I recomment this product to anyone with a GY6 150 engine. Thanks, Scott Hoyle, Florida

My name is Evan Grant and I'm a certified motorcycle mechanic, up in Houston, Texas. About 2-3 years ago when gasoline prices started sky rocketing. And people started buying more and more scooters to save money on gas. Well, after being a motorcylce mechanic for so long, and with the economy being bad. My wife encouraged me to give it a shoot and start fixing them. Most of the scooters I receive at the shop are these 150cc Chinese scooters with the gy6 engines.
To make a long story short. A previous customer of mine walked into the shop one afternoon and ask me if I would fix an oil leak on his engine. I said sure! He then requested if I would use a set of crankcase gaskets he purchased over the internet. I ask him boldly, why didn't you buy them from my shop? As he hand me the aluminum gaskets, he said, because these are the best gy6 scooter engines gaskets I have ever seen. And I wanted to try them out and have you install them on my scooter for me.
As he handed the gaskets over to me, I was amazed to see that they were made of aluminum. Immediately, by looking at them, I new that these gaskets were top of the line quality. Anyway, I was very eager to try out the aluminum gaskets. I noticed that I was able to put a nice heavy torque on the bolt, and was not concern what so ever about the gasket getting ruin. These are really awesome gaskets (I said to myself). I have work on scooters for the past 2-3 years now. And I do have to say, these are by far the best gy6 crankcase gaskets I have ever worked with. No doubt about it. I have been continuesly purchasing them from this website ever since. In all honesty, this is a fabulous product.

I make a couple of bucks fixing the neighborhood scooters out of my home garage for quite some time now. And I have purchase all types of crankcase gaskets for 150cc scooters from a few scooter stores. And this by ar the best set of crankcase gaskets I have ever purchased. I have been placing these gaskets on mostly all the scooters I have been upgrading, since I found this website. And not one scooter has come back to me with any complaints on crankcase oil leaks. Now that says alot about this product.

YOU JUST GOT YOUR SCOOTER BACK YESTERDAY AFTER A WHOLE WEEK AT THE MECHANIC. AND IT'S STILL LEAKING OIL. WHAAT???
THEN YOU NEED TO READ WHAT WE HAVE TO SHARE WITH YOU.
Scooter mechanics DON"T COME CHEAP. The good certified scooter mechanic will cost $80.00 per hour.
And you better pray to God he's a real mechanic. Even a simple job as changing a CDI, Coil, Spark Plug CAN cost you between $60 - $80 for a 15-20 minute job. And they will still charge you for a full one hour job
(and thats not including the parts you have to purchase).
One of the major problems scooter owners have with 125cc, 150cc GY6 scooter engines, is having to deal with
crankcase oil leaks (no matter what Chinese scooter you have) . It's a BIG problem!
Let me ask you this; have you have ever fixed a scooter engine and when your finally done. You take it for test ride over to the local grocery store to pickup pickup a few items or a pack of cigarettes. And as you walk out the store to get on your scooter, you notice it's dripping oil. Yea... it's dripping oil, we know the feeling. Welcome to the club... we've been there.
Crankcase Gaskets that you normally buy at the scooter stores are made of CHEAP paper thin compressed cardboard.
I will tell you this, when you're installing a set of crankcase gaskets, it's extremely important that you be careful and place them correctly (your Mechanic should know that).
30% to 50% of all the scooter owners that take their scooter to a mechanic for crankcase gasket replacement normally come back to them, because they still continue to leak oil. Most of the time, it's because they had put to much musle (torque) on the bolt and ruined (flattened) the gasket.
Many Chinese scooter manufactures sometimes don't even out the edges on the crankcase. Causing the gasket to tear or break, that's one reason. Another reason could be that the Chinese scooter manufacture didn't line up the crankcase gasket holes right, so the screws don't line up.
But the real problem is that the Chinese manufactures that make these scooter gaskets, make there gaskets too thin.
These CHEAP paper thin crankcase gasket will quickly flatten and get ruin the moment you put too much torque behide on the bolt. Flattening the gasket around the bolt area.
No matter how careful are. It's very easy to mess up the installation of a new set of gaskets.
Simply because the gasket you buy at the shop or used scooter mechanics, are CHEAP ! ! !
For those of you (scooter owners or mechanics) who are making upgrades, and
installing a 61mm, 62mm, or a 63mm big bore kit.
BE ADVISED ! ! !
Due to high compression build up in these work horses. You have a higher risk of running into crankcase oil leaks.
These work horses build up so much compression that the first place they start leaking oil,
are right through the crankcase gasket areas. That's Right ! ! !
But we have a solution to this huge problem. Let me show you . . .
Below is a picture of two (2) sets of right side crankcase gaskets. They look exactly alike; with the exception that the one on the left is made out of compressed cardboard. And on the right, is our High Performance Aluminum Crankcase Gasket. Which made of Tough/Durable Aluminum material. Both of these crankcase gaskets are made
for a125cc or 150cc GY6 engine.
Here' another example:
Let us give you a closer view of the same two (2) sets of crankcase gaskets (shown above). Here in this picture (below) we wanted to point out how fragile these compressed cardboard gasket truely are. Compared to our High Performance Aluminum Crankcase Gasket (made of Tough/Durable Aluminum material). As you can see, they can easy break while installing them, bend or flatten if you apply to much torque on the bolt.
Nine (9) times out of ten (10) you ruin them by applying too much torque on the bolt.
Bottom line, Certified Scooter Mechanics make really good money for even the simplest work done on your scooter.
Or perhaps, your a scooter mechanic doing some BIg Bore upgrades on a customers GY6 engine. And after 6 or 7 hours of working on that scooter. A week later, the customer calls you up complaining about an oil leak. You say to yourself... Damm it, I know I did a good job, but your thinking maybe you might have put too much musle (torque) into that last bolt on that crankcase cover.
Now your obligated to pull that engine back out again, just to change that crankcase gaskets again!
